Purpose of the role

As we grow out our team in the Greater China region, we are looking for a driven and independent professional to help grow our portfolio. The Senior Consultant, Communications owns and grows client relationships for Southern China. They are responsible for finding new clients, attending networking events and supporting with the marketing of the GCR proposition. They will be able to forge strong relationships with clients; understanding their expectations and ensuring the client is kept fully up to date with critical activity on the account. Strong at account execution, the Senior Consultant, Communications takes the lead in maintaining key media relationships on behalf of all clients, leads outreach for campaigns and oversees the integration of social media activity into campaigns.

Key responsibilities and tasks
New Business
- Ability to drive new leads and lean into network to open discussions and opportunities for the business
- Experience supporting the new business process, working in collaboration with the GCR sales team leaders to play a crucial role in selling TEAM LEWIS credentials throughout the tender process
- Writes and compiles compelling credentials, responding to RFI and RFP documents (within deadline) with the aim of securing pitch opportunities
Client Management
- Oversees and maintains a consultative relationship with the client, acting as a contact and partner for all marketing and communications services
- Works closely with the client to regularly review account performance, identifying and communicating opportunities for additional PR, marketing and digital tools and services
- Works with the management team to ensure account profitability and effective budgeting
Media Relations
- Oversees all media relations activity on behalf of the client, maintaining key media contacts for campaigns and projects
- Builds, maintains and develops robust relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers and analysts across national, trade and vertical media channels
- Utilises network to create and maximise client coverage, advising on potential opportunities
Content
- Oversees and provides content creation for campaigns and projects including press releases, articles, blog entries, and other written material
- Drafts - and oversees the drafting of - a broad range of written materials including biographies, briefing documents, media alerts, soundbites, Q&As, backgrounders and boilerplates, ensuring a consistent level of high-quality content
- Works with content experts to drive the improvement of own and others knowledge of impactful techniques and writing styles
Digital / Social Media
- Uses social media platforms (both within and outside of China) to expand own network, understand what’s on the pulse of culture, and positively impact client results
- Uses social media and proactively explores new tools, solutions and processes to continuously evolve and optimise client integrated campaigns
- Provides social media insight as well as execution and management of related digital activity

- 拓展并维护全国及垂直行业媒体、自媒体、博主、意见领袖与分析师资源
- 挖掘传播亮点,提供专业建议,提升品牌曝光度与影响力
内容与创意
- 指导和产出各类传播内容:新闻稿、专栏文章、博文等
- 编写高质量传播资料:高管简历、媒体提纲、Q&A、新闻点提炼、品牌故事等
- 协同内容团队,推动写作技巧与内容影响力的提升
数字与社交媒体
- 熟悉国内外主流社交平台,洞察文化趋势,将其应用于客户传播方案中
- 持续探索创新工具与流程,优化整合传播效果
- 提供社交媒体策略、执行与管理相关支持,提升整体数字传播表现
About You
- Relevant experience of working in a B2B, corporate, consumer or digital communications agency environment at an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager level
- Highly commercial and results driven, with a proven track record of commercially impacting a business via lead generation and strategic client consultancy
- Bilingual in English and Chinese
- Strong project management skills with an ability to plan and prioritise
- Considered, creative, assertive and influential; with the skills and aptitude to successfully secure and nurture new clients
